New York hotel offers a novel iPod idea

Take a best-seller preloaded on an iPod at the reception, is for free (for now)...

The 174-room Algonquin in New York, renowned for its fat, gossipy literary history through the decades -- a history that features Dorothy Parker, New Yorker Editor William Shawn and many others -- now offers a battery-operated take on reading, or, rather, listening: Guests will be able to take a loaner iPod to bed, preloaded by staff with the audio book of their choice.

A pretty good idea, is there nothing good this evening on cable TV? Much better an audio-book...
